Northeast Mississippi ASU Alumni Chapter
Greetings Alcornites,
The Northeast Mississippi ASU Alumni Chapter is pleased to announce that we have been blessed by one of our members, Mr. Oliver Johnson, who has designed a Website that will keep us connected to other chapters through out the great state of Mississippi and with chapters in other states. The design will allow other chapters to view our page and see that we are providing vital resources, networking tools, and recruiting strategies that will allow us to reach outside of our county and embrace others to get on board.
Our Alumni work together as a unified whole to embrace future graduates and provide scholarships to young men and women who have committed to Alcorn State University. I am proud to be a graduate of Alcorn and to serve as chapter president. The position has provided me with the opportunity to travel, and work with other presidents to develop constructive goals that can only strengthen our Dear Alcorn.
My bishop of the MS Methodist Conference has chosen as our logo “The Power of We.” “We” is the key word that makes a successful chapter. We all have a common goal and that is to help elevate Alcorn. The Northeast Mississippi ASU Alumni Chapter seeks to hold true to Alcorn’s rich heritage and to the family we have all become.
It is a good time to be an Alcorn State University Brave. Alcorn has made history in football by winning “Back-to-Back” 2014-2015 SWAC Championships. Go Braves!
We are looking forward to hosting the 2018 Mid-Winter Conference in Tupelo, MS. We are Alcorn Strong!
